My concentration is innovation and organizational evolution. My first-year paper is about the response of firms regarding innovation performance feedback, paying attention to the development of new technology as an activator. From this project, I have learned multiple methods, including machine learning with a human-coded codebook, polynomial regression, and hierarchical linear modeling.
I also have a big interest in leveraging big data and developing models to examine the evolution of organizations. One of my representative projects is about how industry changes lead to organizational adaptation regarding human capital requirements, leveraging a big dataset of job advertisements and using Natural Language Processing. Another organizational evolution project I am working on is related to how strategic attention changes result in the change of power structure, which is presented at the Academy of Management Annual Meeting 2026 in Pennsylvania.
